Nurse 2 Psychiatric or Nurse 1 (VanDyke ATC)
DUTIES Provides direct nursing care to patients, including dispensing medications, providing physician-ordered medical treatment, accurate documentation, and collection of specimens for laboratory analysis or culture. Provides health education for patients, monitors patient behavior (including hourly checks), and participates in treatment planning. Conducts nursing assessments and audits medical charts for completeness and conducts quality assurance reviews (as well as chart closeouts) and other tasks as needed or assigned. Computer skills needed.

From $26227 to $35778 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Nurse 2 Psychiatric - A registered nurse in NYS with current registration to practice. One year of post-licensure registered nurse clinical experience, including six months of post-licensure specialized nursing experience with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, alcoholism, or chemical dependency; OR 18 months of post-licensure registered nurse general clinical experience; OR eligible to transfer. Nurse 1 - Candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State, possess a limited permit to practice nursing in New York State, or be eligible to enter the examination for such license. NOTE:
Candidate must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. Failure to maintain licensure, certification and Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment.
