Nurse 2 Psychiatric or Nurse 1 (Dick Van Dyke Addiction Treatment Center)
o Administer nursing and direct care including completion of nursing assessments; o Complete patient admissions; transcribe and execute prescriber/medical orders; o Administer medications and treatments; collect specimens; perform venipunctures; o Monitor the environment for patient health, safety, and security; o Involvement in facility performance assessment and improvement activities; o Function as backup shift charge in the absence of the shift charge; o Proficient use of a computer is required for recordkeeping and documentation; o Maintain nursing/facility supplies and equipment; o Provide crisis intervention as needed; transport patients as assigned using NYS vehicle; o May direct other staff, trainees, volunteers in Nursing assignments; o Maintain a positive and solution focused attitude and participate in activities intended to improve patient care and facility operations/ o Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team; o Other nursing duties or ATC tasks as needed/assigned. o Incumbent will be required to work overtime shifts periodically as needed.

Salary Range:
From $58030 to $77132 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Nurse 2 Psychiatric - A registered nurse in NYS with current registration to practice. One year of post-licensure registered clinical experience including six months post-licensure specialized nursing experience with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, alcoholism, or chemical dependency OR eighteen months of post-licensure registered nurse general clinical experience. Nurse 1 - A registered nurse in NYS with current registration to practice. Candidate must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare program. Failure to maintain licensure, certification and Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment.
